Crowell to IR

Isaiah Crowell has been placed on IR leaving the Jets backfield open for Elijah McGuire and Trenton Cannon. McGuire should be the lead back, but neither are too enticing.

Djax to miss another

DeSean Jackson is set to miss his second consecutive game. Much last week, where the Saints shadowed Godwin with Lattimore and bracketed Evans… it will be tough sledding for the Bucs’ WRs against a tough Baltimore defense.

OBJ out for week 15

This is a huge hit for playoff teams. OBJ is now ruled out for week 15 right in the middle of fantasy playoffs. The Giants will have to rely more on Barkley and Shepard this week.

Keenan Allen Departs

Oy vey.  Allen was hurt, returned briefly, and then was taken to the locker room.  Early word is a hip injury.  It is a crushing blow to owners who had locked Allen in as a WR1 this week.  We’ll see if he returns for the second half, but it was a lost two quarters of action for the en fuego Chargers’ receiver.

OBJ: Quad “Ain’t Right”

Speaking Thursday, Odell Beckham Jr. referred to his quad as “ain’t right”, though a bit more colorfully.  Reports are also streaming out saying Eli Manning is dealing with something similar in his right arm.  A somewhat surprise inactive this past Sunday, Beckham’s quad injury looks more serious than first believed.  Obviously, his status will need to be watched closely leading into Sunday.

Tyreek Hill A Go

As expected.  Hill was in and out of last week’s game but still got his against an elite Ravens’ defense.  While Casey Hayward is generally a strong corner, he’s had his issues with Hill.  Even at a smidge less than 100%, Hill is a locked-in WR1 with his typically massive ceiling.

Gordon Inactive

The tea leaves were all pointing this way, and now it is official: Melvin Gordon is out for tonight’s game.  Justin Jackson immediately becomes a fringe RB1 with a tasty matchup and competition from only Detrez Newsome and Troymaine Pope.  It is the type of setup which can place fantasy players in the annals of history.

Gordon A True GTD

Despite traveling with the team to Kansas City, Melvin Gordon is looking to be on the wrong side of questionable for Thursday Night’s game against the Chiefs.  Adam Schefter reported it would be “challenging” for Gordon to pl.ay and the activation of Troymaine Pope off the practice squad seems to portend bad news.  Fantasy owners fortunate enough to survive Gordon’s playoff absence should be making other plans, and Justin Jackson remains squarely in play given his impressive recent play and the Chiefs deficiencies against the run

Damien Williams To Lead KC Backfield

It is a lead back in an Andy Reid offense, so color me interested.  Williams was a hot waiver wire pickup this week and could pay immediate dividends.  The Chiefs had enough confidence in him last week to utilize him twice near the goal-line.  His touchdown and receiving upside will be pretty appetizing in a game with a high Over/Under.  Unless your backfield is unusually stacked, Williams merits a starting spot given the offense he is in.

Lamar Jackson to start again

Despite Joe Flacco being closer to full health, Lamar Jackson has been named the starter for week 15. It’s yet another in a long line of great matchups that Jackson has taken advantage of.

Wentz likely out week 15

Carson Wentz is not practicing due to a back injury and they are already saying he is unlikely to play this weekend. He hasn’t been ruled out officially, but you should look elsewhere for other options.

Melvin Gordon Gets In Limited Practice Tuesday

The Los Angeles Chargers listed Melvin Gordon as a Limited Participant in Tuesday’s practice, opening the door for him to return to the field Thursday night.  While it is unclear if he would be ready to return to a full workload, even a limited Gordon would be a welcome sight for fantasy owners.  Gordon’s presence would plant Justin Jackson directly back on fantasy benches.
